Monotypes
Since July 2024, I have been creating monotype prints at an open figure session that conveniently has a printing press onsite. Once my depiction of the nude model is completed and printed, I return to the same plexiglass plate and ink a free form composition in the remaining time of the session. From the more attentive and precise approach to rendering the figure, it's an enjoyable contrast: intuitive, non-representational mark making and reductive drawing with an emphasis on dimension and movement, manifesting biomorphic abstraction and imaginal landscape.
